Exchanges FAQ

What are exchanges?

exchanges is a simple service we offer where you can trade in the baby or kids’

clothes you no longer need  and get store credit to use with us.

you don’t need to list anything online, take photos,  or wait for someone to buy.

it’s a way to clean out your cupboard, give those clothes a second life, and help

another family  all while saving money on your next shop.

we call it a service because we take care of the hard part  and that’s why there’s a small fee (unless you’re bringing 1–10 clean, branded items  that’s always free).

we’ve kept it simple, transparent, and fair  just how it should be

How do exchanges work?

you bring in your clothes
make sure they’re clean, zipped up, and folded.
put any marked or slightly stained clothes in a separate pile.

we check your items
we look at the brands, the condition, and what we already have in stock.

we send you an offer
you’ll get a message with your store credit total.

you choose
if anything can’t be used, you can choose to donate it or if its a big brand we may offer to buy it

you shop!
your credit goes onto your account.
you can use it in-store, and it never expires 🩷

CANNOT BE REDEEMED ON OUR STOCKIST ITEMS

Why is there a fee?

it takes time, effort, and care.

when you drop off your clothes, your part is done. but for us, that’s just the beginning. behind the scenes, we:
🧺 unpack and sort every single item by hand
🔍 check each one for condition, branding, stains, damage, and season
🧼 fold, steam, or clean as needed to get it shop-ready
🏷️ research prices and decide on a fair resale value
📸 photograph items for online listings
🖥️ write listings, upload them to the website, and update inventory
🛍️ display items in-store
📦 process sales, wrap orders, and handle pickups or postage

and that’s before anything even sells.

we do this for every customer, every drop-off, every time — with care, and by hand. it’s a lot of work. and while we love doing it, we also need to value the time and energy it takes to keep it going.

so yes — there’s a small fee.

How much credit will I get?

you’ll usually get 30–50% of what we would sell your item for.

so if we sell your onesie for $5, you’ll get around $2–$3 in store credit.
better brands and bundles might get a bit more.

we also buy some big brand items for cash, but you’ll always get more if you choose store credit.

store credit doesn’t expire, and you can use it any time. more in-depth in the value guide below

Do I have to exchange?

not at all.

we included exchanges as a way to give families something back for the clothes they

 no longer need.

some families donate because they want to support what we’re doing. others are

clearing out fast and don’t want to keep track of credit. either way, we’re grateful.

no pressure. no judgment. just options.
we’ll ask what you prefer when you drop off your items.

What's different about you compared to other exchanges?

nothing. quite literally, nothing.

we're all doing the same thing giving clothes a second chance, helping families save money, and keeping stuff out of landfill.

Where do we exchange?

you can bring your clothes to our store Friday 10am-1pm, or Saturday 10am-1pm

sometimes life does happen, and I may need to close so keep an eye on my instagram/Facebook stories.
